Palestinians citizens have been brutalized and etnic cleansing is being held by the Israeli Occupation Forces throughout larger parts of Jerusalem, West Bank, Gaza and the war between the two has been enticing since 1948. But the recent escalation began during the last holy month of Ramadan when Al-Aqsa Mosque was stormed by the Israel police during the prayers on the 10th May 2021.
Palestinians were robbed from their homeland, evicted from their houses and being replaced by the Jewish settlers. They were forced to live on the streets or the designated accomodations by the Israel forces which are overcrowded and in a bad neighbourhood. Palestinians' citizens' anger had been mounting for weeks ahead of a now-delayed Israeli court ruling on whether authorities were able to evict dozens of Palestinians from the Old City’s Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood to Jewish settlers.
Israel Defence Forces has been using tear gas, rubber-coated bullets and shock grenades towards Palestinian civilians and children who are helpless to defend themselves and countless lives has been lost. Not to mention that dozens of Palestinians have been arrested as well.
Some of the Palestinians have taken refuge in other neighbouring countries such as Jordan and Turkey and start a new life altogether with or without their families.
Even though Palestine and Israel have come to an agreement to ceasefire, let us not forget all the traumatized, hospitalized civilians that still need our help in providing for their basic necessities. We do not forget, we give support and we pray for this battle to be over and everyone can live peacefully.
